Comment on The 2014 Committee by Carol Williams http://mainereaderschoiceaward.org/the-2014-committee/#comment-22624 Sun, 28 Dec 2014 14:08:56 +0000 http://mainereaderschoiceaward.org/?page_id=9#comment-22624 I enjoyed very much the 2014 readers Choice books. We had a great group that met every couple of weeks during the summer sponsored by the Orono Public Library. I am looking forward to the list for 2015. This fall we have continued with books to movies viewing and discussion.
Carol

I tried my best to read Goldfinch, but had to skip the middle Las Vegas mess…still wish I had learned more about the painting after reading the book for an entire week.

Comment on This year, four finalists emerge (for your reading pleasure!) by Gloria Hutchinson http://mainereaderschoiceaward.org/this-year-four-finalists-emerge-for-your-reading-pleasure/#comment-7209 Sun, 04 May 2014 13:22:12 +0000 http://mainereaderschoiceaward.org/?p=655#comment-7209 I should not venture such a dogmatic opinion without having read all four of your worthy contestants. But BENEDICTION is a wonderful read, and I do not expect to have to change my mind once the other three have been allowed a fair hearing. Carry on with this worthy venture.

Of the seven I’ve read, two of my three favorites are finalists–it will be a tough decision!
